Real Estate

The Real Estate Section manages those trust lands that provide the trust with a stable commercial income stream and added value over time. The diversified real estate assets included in this section vary from cell tower leases to entitled ground to commercially leased building. The section staff is responsible for identifying asset opportunities within the portfolio or outside the portfolio that are candidates for long term cash flow.

Examples of this management include over 238,000 square feet of vertically leased buildings (2009), several platted subdivision holdings, and miscellaneous redevelopment opportunities. The Real Estate staff continues to look for ways to conduct Public/Private partnerships on land that is either in a city core or on the fringe of growing communities. Our relationships with local jurisdictions, the local development community, and advisors are invaluable to the success of the Section and we welcome new opportunities.
